Improve Bathroom Lighting With These Simple Ideas
Everyone has a favorite room in the house. If you like watching TV or playing video games, the room with your entertainment center has everything you need. If the light above the sink is a single bulb, you can replace it with a bar containing three or four bulbs to increase the amount of light. If you get a bar with fixtures that swivel in different directions, you can direct the light to specific points in the room. This is helpful if you need a reading light at times and a makeup or shaving light at other times. To conserve energy, use the new compact fluorescent bulbs, which will save approximately $30 in utility costs over the lifetime of the bulb.
Perhaps a relaxing, scented soak in the tub is your idea of a perfect way to end the day. If so, then you will want to create some ambiance with the light fixtures in the bathroom. A dimmer switch can be purchased for less than $10, and with candles to accompany your private retreat you can experience the same relaxation that you might enjoy at an elaborate spa.
