Tarpon Fishing – Catching the Silver King
Tarpon can be eight feet long and weigh up to 280 pounds, but they come in a wide variety of sizes to fish for. They range from Virginia to Central Brazil along the Atlantic coast, all through the Gulf of Mexico, along the Coast of Africa, and the Caribbean Sea. They have even been found in some fresh water. Tarpon are primarily found in shallow coastal waters and estuaries, but can be found in deep open ocean waters also. They are the premier gamefish of Florida.
Shrimp, mullet, pinfish, and crab, especially crab, all make excellent bait if you wish to use live bait or frozen bait. You can also use flies, lures and grubs for tarpon fishing.
When tarpon fishing the flats you will be fishing in water about 3-5 feet deep. Fish in a small skiff. You will need to spot the fish so it is important that you wear a pair of polarized sunglasses. When spotting tarpon watch for “nervous” water, black backs on the fish, rolling of the tarpon, slight surface disturbances.
After you spot the tarpon you must sneak up on them with the boat, let your boat drift towards them with the motor turned off. Now if you are fly fishing for tarpon, you are going to want to place your fly as close to the tarpon as possible. Let it sink to the depth of the fish, then start retrieving the fly. If the tarpon is hungry it will take your fly. Wait till the fish turns before setting the hook. This allows the hook to slide into the soft corner of the tarpon’s mouth. Then the fight is on! Tarpon will do aerial acrobatics once they are hooked so be aware. Flies come in a variety of sizes and shapes. It is recommended by outdooradventuresguide.com that you carry several different kinds. Tarpon are fickle and may suddenly stop biting on one particular fly.
Spinning/casting fisherman have an advantage over the fly fisherman. They can cover more area in the water. Light action spin/casting makes for some great fun when a tarpon is hooked. Lures, and live bait can be used when spin/casting.
Drum Accessories for Wii
Many different Wii accessories are available when it comes to the Nintendo Wii drums. Whether the Wii is being used to play Rock Band, Guitar Hero World Tour, or Band Hero there are many choices out there for those who wish to upgrade their basic Wii drum set. Many of these accessories are geared towards serious drumming, while others are simply to make the experience of playing the drums more enjoyable.
One of the functional additions for the Wii drum kit are drum pad silencers. These silencers live up to their name by dulling the sound the drumstick makes when hitting the drum head. This is an important feature when living with a roommate or for those who play after their young children have gone to bed for the night. These extra drum pads also protect the original drum pad on the Wii drum kit, making them a sensible investment. Care must be taken when placing them to ensure that they line up correctly with the pressure transducer which registers that a note was hit. These pads also make for a better playing surface and allow for easier rolling than the regular drum surface.
For those who wish to better approximate what playing on an actual drum set is like, cymbal expansion kits are an excellent choice. These expansion kits come with one, two, or three extra cymbals which clamp onto the existing Wii kit. These cymbals represent the crash, ride, and hi-hat cymbals. The height of the cymbals can be adjusted to suit the player. Regardless of whichever color they are assigned in the game they will still make the sound of their respective cymbal. For example, when hitting the crash cymbal it will always make a crash cymbal sound regardless of the song. This will not count against you in game play as long as you hit a cymbal designated the color for the note that is to be played. This is truly an accessory for the serious drummer who wishes to get the most out of his Wii drum kit.
There are also a variety of drum sticks to choose from, but these are mostly aesthetic in value. Drum sticks with rubber tips can be used to muffle the sound of drumming much as the drum pad silencers do, however the pads are much more effective. There are drum sticks available in a variety of colors and styles for those who want to individualize their Wii drumming experience.
There are a multitude of Wii accessories on the market. Most of these are reasonably priced, allowing most players to expand their drum kit. Adding these accessories is an easy way to get maximum enjoyment out of the Wii drums.
Acquiring Affordable Airsoft Pistols
Imagine that you are playing airsoft, and one of your favorite products breaks! It costed a lot of money, so it will take a relatively long time before you are able to replace it. In the mean time, what are you supposed to do in order to get your airsoft fix? The great thing about airsoft guns is that they come in all calibers, meaning there are some really good and expensive products, and there are also those on the lower end of the scale that, while lacking in the quality of better counterparts, are extremely cheap. While you are waiting on getting a new primary airsoft gun, you should definitely take advantage of all the cheap airsoft guns that are out there.
Specifically, you should consider getting a spring airsoft pistol to use when your other gun goes down. Why is this the perfect option? For one, and most importantly, these kinds of pistols are the definition of cheap, sometimes costing as little as $3! Of course, if you want it to retain some quality, you should get one that is around $10, but as you can see, they really do come cheap.
By picking out products that are this cheap, you do not have to take care of them as well as your other airsoft guns. You can use spring pistols for whatever you want, whether as a sidearm, backup, for targe practice, or lending out to friends. It is always good to have several of these products on hand at all times, so you can use them for a combination of the uses described above.
Of course, if you have a lot of money, then I would suggest you skip this route. There are other airsoft pistols that are medium-quality, and if you can afford it, obviously it would be better to get something better than something of low quality.
