4.  You can also make your own music with a home karaoke machine.  Karaoke is more popular than ever and bringing it into your home is very easy.  All you need is a good karaoke system hooked up to your television set and stereo.  Karaoke can serve as the basis for some extremely entertaining parties for friends and family alike.

5.  Check your local listings to see if there are any live musical performances coming up.  Sometimes there will be free shows available, but it doesn’t hurt to pay a few dollars to see a popular act either. Music is a social experience that can be further enhanced by being in public. Nothing can replace the experience of live music and the excitement of seeing the real deal in a concert or club.

When you are in the midst of a global recession it can be a little tough to find a good place to put your money. The fact is that you can’t just take your money and stuff it under your mattress.
