Submit To Google To Show Them You Exist
When you build a web site, one of the first projects you need to concern yourself with is showing the search engines you exist and boosting your PageRank status. Your PageRank is where your web site will pull up in the search engine rankings. Most people do not click past the second page of the search engine results so your goal is to get your web site to be on the first couple of pages in order to gain the attention you are looking for.
One common misconception about improving your PageRank status involves doing a submit to Google. In order for this to actually do anything, you will need to submit every single web page from your web site. Obviously you
don’t have the time to go through each page and submit them to the directory. Google actually looks for other things like backlinks to determine what your PageRank status will be. When you have more backlinks that are feeding in from quality web sites, Google will recognize this and reward you by giving you a higher PageRank status.
After you boost your PageRank status and you are starting to collect a large following of customers, you will be able to start making money on Google. Using some of the tools that Google has to offer like Google AdSense will give you a chance to make money when people click on the advertisements through your web site. You can also look for independent advertisers and give them space on your site. Of course in order to sell advertising space, you need to be able to learn HTML coding to input the ads and links on your web site. It’s a little more complex to build your own site than to use a site like Blogger.com so you will need someone that knows HTML coding to help you out, which can cost you more money than you may be expecting.
